GPPS /STYX Production Leader

The position: Responsible for controlling and optimizing operations across two plants through safe process, asset management, operational discipline, and skilled personnel. Ensure product availability with the right quantity, quality, timing and cost efficiency. Oversee adherence to service level agreements with planning, logistics, utilities, laboratory, maintenance, engineering, and on-site partners.
What you will do:
- Fulfill and promote the company’s responsibilities, authorities, and policies, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and operational excellence in all activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plant Capacity Management: Ensure safe, timely, and quality production by optimizing plant capacity through effective allocation of human, technical, and material resources. Identify bottlenecks, coordinate maintenance, and collaborate with planning and engineering teams to maximize utilization.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive resource optimization and reduce waste, downtime, and inefficiencies. Lead plant shutdowns, TAR and coordinate with intercompany partners. Monitor KPIs like OEE, energy and utilities consumption, raw material yield, and production costs. Promote continuos improvement initiatives and operational discipline.
- SHE Excellence/Operational Safety: Enforce and promote safety standards, risk assessments, and compliance with corporate safety principles and audits. Responsible for asset safety at plants and related operations. Lead behavioral and process safety initiatives.
- Operating Profit: Monitor manufacturing costs, manage operational budgets, and coordinate with controlling teams to ensure cost validation and profitability.
- Equipment Availability: Ensure critical plant equipment is available and maintained according to KPI targets.
- Staff Effectiveness: Provide daily leadership to operational staff (non-union and union) ensure competency development, supervise production operators, and oversee training and talent development programs.
- Laboratory Coordination: Manage service agreements with Quality Control Labs, monitoring product quality and output for plants.
- Quality Management System: Maintain compliance with quality management systems, participate in audits, and implement corrective actions.
You will bring:
Level of education & knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer or similar.
Knowledge:
- Quality Management Systems.
- Quality Control of Chemical Processes.
- Quality Control and ISO 9001/19011/14001/IATF 16949/IEC 17025/GMP
- Plant Maintenance
General experiencie:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry, with a strong understanding of plant operations, safety standards, and production processes.
- At least 8 years of proven leadership experience in personnel management, and plastics transformation process and production.
Technical skills:
- Resources planning & schedulling, operational safety & disclipline.
- English advanced
- Preferred SAP system management
- Financial & Business Control
- Office Tool Management
