About you
The candidate should possess the capability to lead and drive broad finance agenda for our JV based in Seoul/Ulsan, Korea.
As part of the JV’s senior management team, you will perform the role of the Deputy CFO in the JV and has a direct responsibility to the Vice President. The position holder must have a strong performance drive, strategic, commercial acumen and deep financial, tax and treasury knowledge.
The candidate should possess the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a JV whilst delivering INEOS agenda.
Principle Accountabilities of the role:
To effectively work with the CFO (who is the peer) and teams in the JV for rigorous performance management, instigating robust cost controls and continually improving organisational capability.
• To support JV Vice President and leadership teams as well as INEOS Head of Commercial and Head of Finance, Asia, in driving performance and delivery of JV growth strategy
• To lead the preparation of business plans, management information and forecast in order to integrate inputs from various stakeholders for performance planning and management/commercial decision-making.
• Responsible for reporting of JV monthly results and performance analysis to INEOS system
• To ensure the integrity of the accounting and reporting of financial results under different accounting conventions while in a proper internal control environment.
• To work with shareholders in developing a financial strategy and assess the financial health of the company and advise the JV Vice President on appropriate actions, or making proposals for board consideration
• Ensure robust management of cash flow, inclusive of driving maximum dividend payout, forecasting accuracy, optimising credit/minimising exposure, working capital and cash management.
• To manage relationships with external financial institutions and ensure that the JV receives competitive proposals.
• Support new major projects incl. financial evaluation and funding plans, eg. debottle of plant, feedstock conversion, etc.
• To follow INEOS’s risk management and compliance process, Code of Conduct and participate in the JV’s daily investment decisions and management team meetings.
• Act as interface in the Finance arena with other functions, including but not limited to INEOS Group Finance, Tax, Legal and Treasury in major decisions relating to shareholders’ interest.
• Support business improvement agenda and to instigate CI initiatives.
• Ensure connectivity and integrate inputs from commercial and plant teams to ensure alignment between the different entities' financial process and reports.
Level of education & Experience in general
• Degree in Accounting or with international accounting qualification
• Over 15 years of experience in related fields
• Prefers manufacturing industry (chemical companies)
• Experience in JV is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
• Very strong analytical and data science skills.
• Strong of IFRS and local FRS/GAAP skills
• Excellent Microsoft applications skills, esp. Excel
• Strong local tax and treasury knowledge
• ACCA Certified
