Current Opportunity
Job Title: Document Specialist
Location: Wando, South Carolina
The Position:
The Operations Document Specialist provides technical and administrative support to Manufacturing, Operations, SHE, and Maintenance teams surrounding Document Control, site Training and Hourly hiring administration. Reports to Operations Manager.
What you will do:
- Coordinate administrative support for Manufacturing, Operations, Shipping, Maintenance, Laboratory, Safety, SHE, Storehouse, and Employee Reference Manual (ERM) functions, ensuring procedures and documentation remain current and compliant.
- Manage and coordinate scheduled Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews for ISBL #1, ISBL #2, OSBL, and Maintenance departments.
- Develop and maintain annual shift schedules, vacation selection processes, shift schedule cards, logbooks, site calendars, and barge documentation packets.
- Administer and maintain site SharePoint pages for Storehouse, Shipping, ISBL #1, ISBL #2, OSBL, Laboratory, and other Cooper River site content.
- Serve as VTA Administrator by maintaining employee training records, updating computer-based training (CBT) content, and modifying testing materials as needed.
- Support hourly recruitment activities, including coordinating candidate testing, interview logistics, and onsite hiring events.
- Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, conference room scheduling, and office supply management.
- Create and process SAP requisitions for office supplies and vendor services, including management of service entry sheets.
- Manage site procurement through Amazon, including order placement, tracking, and delivery coordination.
- Serve as a member of the Information Management Team (IMT), supporting document control processes and records management activities.
Additional activities:
Process procedure review in accordance with defined review process
Issue approved procedures into OpenText
Perform necessary VTA modifications and reporting
Maintain adequate office supplies for POB
Assist in troubleshooting copiers, printers, and faxes
Update site email distribution lists
Assist with plant visitors
Processes plant mail
Process & maintain incoming procedures in a timely and effective manner
What you will bring:
0-3 years of relevant experience preferred for entry into the role.
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required
High School Diploma or GED required

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
