Job Title: OSBL (Outside Battery Limits) Superintendent I   
Location: Wando, South Carolina 

The Position: 

The Operations Superintendent I will provide leadership, coaching, resources, boundary conditions, and motivation to help the utilities and waste treatment operating teams and the shipping organization successfully accomplish their performance contract targets and objectives in a safe and efficient manner.  Reports to the Operations Manager.  The position is responsible to ensure unit quality and costs are in line with plant objectives.

What you will do: 

This position – and all positions – within the INEOS Aromatics organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following, and practicing the INEOS Aromatics 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position.  Each employee must also commit to following the INEOS Aromatics Life-Saving rules and the site SHE Policies and Procedures including Stop Work Authority and Safe Work Guidelines on a daily basis.The jobholder must lead, support and promote/drive adherence to the 20 Principles for Managing Behavioral Safety and Process Safety and the Lifesaving Rules.

• Lead and champion safety performance by setting expectations, conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, safety observations, and ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
• Drive safety and operational planning and execution, including auditing isolation blind checklists, operating procedures, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Establish and maintain high standards for asset care, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned area.
• Lead the Unit Manufacturing Team (UMT) to achieve operational goals, plant performance targets, and scorecard objectives.
• Develop clear team objectives, accountability measures, and performance standards while fostering a culture of operational excellence.
• Coach, develop, and manage Shift Supervisors through performance management, training, recognition, and corrective action processes as needed.
• Identify workforce training needs and ensure operator qualifications, competency requirements, and training records remain current and compliant.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the unit team and other departments, driving effective communication, coordination, and consistent execution of operating procedures across all shift teams.
• Oversee shipping and marine operations, provide guidance to the Shipping Team Leader, ensure compliance with environmental, security, and marine regulations, coordinate unloading activities with INEOS shipping and barge partners, and serve as a member of the plant Incident Management Team.

What you will bring: 

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 Years Industrial Chemical Operations Experience.
• Minimum 5 Years Leadership Experience (i.e. Supervisor, Maintenance Coordinator, Specialist, Superintendent, etc).
• Must be able to become the site subject matter expert for Marine Terminal operations. 
• Ability to learn and comply with wastewater regulations

• Wastewater experience.
• Marine Terminal experience
• ERT/IMT Experience
