The Position: SHE Engineer
Level of education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to speak and write in English for frequent communication with regional and global teams.
- Familiarity with Korean laws and regulations relevant to Hazardous Materials Safety Control, Occupational Safety and Health, PSM (Process Safety Management), PHA (Process Hazard Analysis).
Experience in general:
- More than 5 years of experience in Process Safety.
- Must be trained or have the necessary training as a Safety Manager as stipulated under KOSHA.
Technical skills:
- Experience leading PHA (HAZOP).
- SHE-related certification or license (Industrial Safety Engineer).
Job Requirements: (as applicable for the position)
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to walk up to 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 kg.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to balance on one leg.
- Must not feel dizzy at heights.

- Incident free operations & compliance with local law & regulations.
1) PSM Program Implementation:
- Develop and execute a PSM implementation plan & undergo PSM audits.
- Prepare and follow up on corrective action plans.
2) Safety Training at INSTY YEO:
- Plan and conduct safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
3) Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations through review and auditing.
- Adhere to site licenses and permits.
4) Regulation Review:
- Update and apply revised or new regulations related to SHE.
- Communicate changes and share procedures with employees.
5) External SHE Audits and Inspection:
- Coordinate audits from government agencies and relevant authorities.
- Confirm inspections such as Pressure Vessel, Overhead Crane, Injection Molding Machine/Exhaust Fan and others. - Incident-Free Operations, Adherence to INEOS Styrolution SHE Guidelines
1) Safety Culture Development:
- Promote a strong safety culture.
- Implement a SHE improvement plan and align with SHE KPIs and targets.
2) Incident Reporting and Investigation:
- Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated.
3) SHE Procedure review:
- Align SHE procedures with IGGSs, SGGNs and regulations.
4) 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules:
- Ensure compliance with the 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules in all activities.
5) Safety Compliance and Action Tracking:
- Ensure safety compliance and track SHE action items through procedures, orientation, audits, and Gensuite program.
6) SHE Committee Meetings:
- Coordinate leadership committee and safety committee meetings.
7) Process Hazards Assessment (PHA):
- Revalidate PHA and participate in HAZOPs.
8) Job Safety Assessment and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR):
- Encourage Job Safety Assessment and execute PSSR with related teams and tracking action items.
9) Emergency Response Drills:
- Conduct ERT drills and firefighting drills and execute emergency evacuation training.
10) Natural Disaster Prevention:
- Review preparedness for natural disaster.
